Who We Are

We are dedicated professionals who feel truly privileged to have the opportunity to provide high-quality, individualized care to the people of the hometown communities and surrounding areas we grew up in, and which remain close to our hearts.

Our Approach to Therapy

Physiotherapy is a medical profession that takes a holistic approach to prevention, diagnosis, and management of a range of problems within the body. With their deep understanding and knowledge, combined with specialized hands-on techniques, physiotherapists are able to assess, diagnose and treat the various symptoms of injury, disability, and illness. Their focus centers around preventing and rehabilitating injuries, as well as the promotion of overall health and fitness.

Jeff Sawkins

Registered Physiotherapist

Jeff is an Orthopedic Physiotherapist who thoroughly enjoys getting to know people and working together with clients toward achieving their goals.

Jeff was born and raised in Madoc. He graduated in 1996 from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Jeff went on to work at a private practice in Peterborough for a year before joining CBI in Belleville, where he worked as a physiotherapist for 17 years. In 2015, Jeff was excited for the opportunity to return to his hometown of Madoc to work in private, orthopedic physiotherapy at Centre Hastings Physio.

Jeff has expanded his knowledge base in many areas over his years in practice, with his primary focus on low back and shoulder injuries. Jeff also has an interest in helping restore function to those dealing with chronic pain injuries. Jeff considers his ability to listen and connect with his clients a significant asset.

When not working, Jeff can be found during the summer months walking and running the streets and trails in the Tweed area or working in his garden. The winter months find him spending the majority of his free time watching his children play hockey in the local arenas or playing a game himself.
